Stirring the Soil

By Mel Coulson
Mel Coulson tells the fascinating story of the creation of the Old Church Gardens, from its design, the volunteers involved and the construction of the garden.

“For over a year a dedicated group of volunteers planned and planted – stirred the soil – and, since 2006, have maintained the beautiful garden behind the old St. James’ Church in Smithers.
Since I was so heavily involved in it, I thought I would give you a little history of the Old Church Garden.”
